Donations and Payments

All registration fees and sponsorship donations are collected by the Stripe.com payment gateway and paid into the United Relay of America Fund, a fund of Arms Around the Child.

Arms Around the Child is a 501(c)(3) organization located at Suite B1L, 420 12th Street, Brooklyn, New York, 11215. EIN# 45-4389547

Pledges and donations made to this fund will be passed on to the beneficiary charities to help change the lives of children, families and communities around the world. 75% of the funds raised by a participant goes to the participants chosen charity. 25% goes to the charity Concern Universal, who are organizing and funding the event.

Registration fees will be used to cover the organizational costs of United Relay of America with any surplus donated to the charity Concern Universal.

We are charged an unavoidable payment-processing fee from Stripe for every online transaction. 2.2%+30c for non American Express cards, and 3.5% for American Express. 3% of every transaction goes to the charity Arms Around the Child, who is the Fiscal Sponsor for the United Relay of America.

Cancellations and Withdrawals

In the event that a runner is no longer available to run their stage on the given time and date, they must notify the organizers immediately by emailing support[at]unitedrelay.org with the subject line ‘URGENT: I CANNOT RUN MY STAGE’.

We regret that no refunds can be given.

Privacy

The organizers of United Relay of America are firmly committed to protecting the privacy of the users of this website.

The United Relay of America is an initiative of international non-profit Concern Universal. 501(c)(3) organization Arms Around the Child is the fiscal sponsor of the United Relay of America.

United Relay of America is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not share, sell, or otherwise distribute the personal information of those who provide personal information to us to in any way other than what is disclosed in this document.

We reserve the right to share runners’ contact details with the runners immediately before and after them, in order to ensure the smooth running of the United Relay of America.

Names, voices and images of runners who take part in United Relay of America may be used by the organizers for promotional purposes.

We reserve the right to share news, via email, from our partners and sponsors which is relevant to users of this website. Users will have the option to unsubscribe from this communication at any time by emailing support[at]unitedrelay.org or clicking ‘unsubscribe’ in the footer of the email.

During the sign-up and donation process users can choose to opt-out of sharing their information with the beneficiary charity that they are fund-raising for, or donating to.

Headphones

The organizers of United Relay of America are firmly committed to participant safety and so if a participant wishes to wear headphones during their stage we stress that we’re only allowing runners to use OPEN EAR headphones.
